Our History

House of Dorchester is a British Master Chocolatier.

Established in 1963, this small artisan chocolatier has grown in reputation and today our sumptuous chocolates and truffles are enjoyed throughout the U.K. and Internationally.

Our company can be found on the celebrated Poundbury Estate in Dorchester, as advocated by His Majesty, King Charles III. It is here our team bring together our passion for heritage, quality, flavour and design to produce our decadently delicious collections, which we are sure you will enjoy.

1963

House of Dorchester founded as ‘The Dorset Maid’ with a shop located on Dorchester high street.

2002

Relocated to King Charles III estate of Poundbury, near Dorchester.

2013

Celebrate fifty years of producing quality luxury products.

2015

Extention to the factory completed and officially opened by King Charles III.

2018

New packaging designs and flavour products launched.

2023

New illustrative core range launched to celebrate sixty years.
